Aluminum bats are the devil. Biggest problem with baseball right now imo. They have more problems than wood bats as far as breaking/defects as well. Go to wood bats and require high schools to have composite bats and you'll save money and injury.

I loved wood bats. I took BP with wood bats quite often in HS, and even hit a grand slam with one in a game. Smaller sweet spot, but still plenty of pop when you hit that spot.

my son has used the comp bat for 2 years,no problems whatsoever with it so far.
